RustWho Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern access to and use of the RustWho website and application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. About RustWho
RustWho is operated from the State of Kuwait. RustWho aggregates and organizes information that is publicly available from open sources and may provide tools that allow users to request data from external APIs. When you use those tools, you are the party sending the request and are responsible for complying with any terms that govern the external source.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law and provide accurate registration information. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid features may require a subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; RustWho does not store full card data. By starting a subscription you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Fees and taxes are shown at checkout. Refunds are provided only where required by law.
5. Public Data and Display
RustWho displays information that is already public and does not claim ownership of that data. Results may be cached for performance. Display of public data on RustWho does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the original source. Removal and opt-out options are described in the Privacy Policy.
6. User Responsibilities, Lawful Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes, not to infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, not to bypass access controls or scrape in violation of third-party terms, and not to upload malware or interfere with the Service.
7. Third-Party Sources and Links
The Service may reference or link to third-party sites or data. Those are not controlled by RustWho and are provided without warranties. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service (software, design, trademarks) is owned by RustWho or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Service to harvest personal data, send spam, break security, overload infrastructure, misrepresent your identity, or use it for unlawful surveillance or harassment.
10. Content Removal, Takedown Requests
RustWho may remove content or suspend features to comply with law or protect users and the Service. If you believe content violates your rights, email hello@rustwho.com with details; we will review in good faith.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by the RustWho Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and disclose information and describes opt-out options.
12. Advertising and Communications
The app does not show third-party ads. The website may introduce advertising in the future. We may send you service messages and notices; you can manage marketing emails through settings or unsubscribe links.
13. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
14. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RustWho disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RustWho is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. The total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless RustWho and its officers, directors, employees and contractors from claims and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms or third-party rights.
17. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by a competent authority, or if your subscription is unpaid. Certain sections (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) survive termination.
18. International Use and Transfers
The Service may be accessed from outside Kuwait. You consent to processing and transfer of your information as described in the Privacy Policy and must ensure your use complies with local law.
19. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuwait and waive objections to venue there.
20. Miscellaneous
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and RustWho regarding the Service. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them, for example, in connection with a merger or sale.
